New PSNI District Commander

Newry, Mourne and Down Policing District has a new District Commander.

Superintendent Jane Humphries, a previous District Commander for Fermanagh and Omagh has been appointed to the post, which was recently held by Superintendent David Moore on an interim basis following retirement of Superintendent Paul Reid. earlier in 2018.

Supt Humphries was also previously an Area Commander in Dungannon and South Tyrone.

Supt. Jane Humphries said, “I am delighted with my new appointment and am keen to continue to build on the excellent work and partnerships which already exist here.  I look forward to working with my colleagues, and the community, to provide a policing service, which is responsive to the issues which are important to local people.”
