Annalong Cornmill has long been established as a must see visitor attraction by Destination Mourne Mountains and the Ring of Gullion, and was restored as a working Cornmill in 2014.  A multimedia exhibition will be used to show let visitors experience Mourne life in the past, meet the Miller in action and follow the oats through the milling process.

The exhibition looks very closely at Annalong’s association with the stonemen of Mourne and its rich maritime history through the schooners that left Annalong Harbour, carrying the Mourne Granite which helped to build major cities in the United Kingdom and further afield.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Michael Ruane said, “I am delighted to be associated with such a fun filled day at a great historical landmark in our district. It is a terrific opportunity to showcase all the Annalong and its historical Cornmill have to offer and I hope that everyone in attendance has a wonderful family day out.”
