More than 100 senior citizens attended the Crotlieve Halloween Seniors Tea Dance in Warrenpoint Town Hall last week. The event formed part of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council’s Positive Ageing Month celebrations and was funded through the Crotlieve District Electoral Area (DEA) Forum, with support from the Council’s Age Friendly Team.
The afternoon of music, dancing and community spirit gave local people an opportunity to socialise, make new connections and enjoy a Halloween celebration.
Representatives from a range of organisations were also on hand to provide information and advice. They included Newry, Mourne and Down PCSP, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) and the Health Improvement Team from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
The success of the event reflects the continued commitment of the Crotlieve DEA Forum and the Council’s Age Friendly Team to creating inclusive opportunities that promote health, wellbeing and community connectedness throughout the district.
