Constable Des O’Sullivan said: “Like many primary schools, traffic congestion around St Joseph’s during pick up and drop off time can build up, making the journey to school more stressful than it needs to be. We brought along our mobile speed sign to remind motorists to slow down and be aware of the many children in the area making their way to and from school.
“We chatted to lots of parents and staff and discovered that the local priest has kindly offered the use of the nearby chapel car park for parents dropping off and picking up their children. We would encourage parents to make use of this facility which will help to reduce congestion and hopefully make the school journey a little more pleasant.”
