Poyntzpass Community Preschool are hosting Afternoon Tea this weekend to celebrate 40 years operating in the village.
The celebrations take place this Sunday 2 November from 2pm - 4.30pm at Poyntzpass Community Hall, 18 Church Street, Poyntzpass. If you want a ticket you better be quick as there's only a few left.
Organisers are hoping to raise much needed funding for the Preschool. Already this year they have done an Abseil, got new artwork and a mural along the building and have spruced up the garden for the children.
Nicole O'Hare from the organising committee said "We’re excited to celebrate this special milestone and reconnect with the many familiar faces who’ve shaped the preschool. Huge thanks to the committee for planning the event and to our sponsors for making it all possible!"
They'll be Afternoon Tea, A Raffle, Old Photos and Memories and a Short Presentation. A Time Capsule will also be buried on the day, providing something for future generations to ponder over, especially any photographic reminders of the haircuts of the 80's!
It's your big chance to reconnect with friends and celebrate four wonderful decades together.
Local business William Bell Tractors are proudly sponsoring the celebrations. Vera Kimmons Catering, Gilford will be providing the catering for the top notch afternoon tea service, with delicious sandwiches, scones and tray bakes, served, of course, on proper China tea sets!
