Write a commentCamlough men Larry McCabe and Pat McGinn reckon they are perfectly placed to help Rudolph and the rest of Santa's Reindeer team keep fit and well and be ready for that all important Christmas Eve action, volunteering themselves as the official "Santa Reindeer Team Trainers".
Pat explained "Santa approached myself and Larry to join his team of Helpers after he heard that we had this year completed the London & Dublin full Marathons and the Great North Run Half Marathon to raise monies for Southern Area Hospice Services. He felt that we were the boys to keep Rudolph, Prancer and the rest of the Reindeers in shape. We are happy enough with their progress and all being well Santa, his sleigh and Reindeer team will get round all the children on Christmas Eve".
Pats side-kick Larry added "Straight after the Christmas we will be leaving Santa and the team to get back into full training ourselves for a few Fundraising runs for the Southern Area Hospice that we are participating in throughout 2017".
The two well known locals wish to thank all who supported their fundraising efforts this year which helped raise many thousands of pounds for the Southern Area Hospice.
Pat concluded "Hopefully we will stay on the "good" boys list and Santa will have us back next year"
