Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Micky Ruane said, “I am delighted that Slieve Gullion Forest Park won this prestigious award. The park offers the unmissable opportunity to experience tranquil woodland trails and fairy walks as well as an action packed Adventure Park, duck pond and walled garden. The park also boosts stunning views across the Ring of Gullion, Mourne Mountains, Cooley Peninsula and Armagh Drumlins.”
This is yet another incredible award to add to Slieve Gullion Forest Parks trophy cabinet, along with awards such as the Green Flag in 2014, the Green Apple Environmental Award and NITB’s Best Green Partner Initiative Award.
