Write a commentSinn Féin’s annual Irish Language event Slógadh Shinn Féin will be held for the first time at Gaeláras Mhic Ardghail, Newry next Saturday 21 November.
MLA for Newry Armagh Conor Murphy has expressed his delight at the announcement and expressed his gratitude to Gaeláras Mhic Ardghail for making their excellent facilities available for the event.
Commenting on the event the MLA said “Everyone is welcome to this event, regardless of their level of Irish. There will be classes, a panel discussion featuring Linda Ervine, amongst others, a discussion around 1916 and the Irish Language, as well as a keynote address from Gerry Adams TD.
“We look forward to an interesting and vibrant event, and would invite anyone interested to come along.”
