Still Number One - Credit Union the big 50!

Newry Credit Union had it's gala 50th Anniversary Dinner tonight in the Canal Court Hotel with members young and old mingling with special guests.

While the rest of us wrestle to remember our membership number it's no bother for Francie Pollock who has just to remember his short and sweet  "Number One"!

Francie who was there with his wife Carmel has the honour of being the very first Newry Credit Union member way back in 1963 and along with other founder members paved the way for the organisation which is so important in Newry peoples lives today.

Guest speaker for the night was Donna Traynor from the BBC and other guests included Minister for Regional Development Danny Kennedy MLA; Mickey Brady, MLA and Dominic Bradley, MLA.
