A brand new charity golf event in aid of Bolster Community has been launched, with the inaugural Bolster Community Golf Classic 2026 set to take place at Warrenpoint Golf Club on Friday 19 June.

The event was officially launched yesterday 30 March at the Co. Down venue, with Cunningham signed up as headline sponsor. Teams of four are being invited to register at a cost of £200 per team, which includes food and evening entertainment. Spaces are limited and early booking is encouraged.

Bolster Community has been supporting people across the local area for more than two decades, delivering practical support and assistance to families, children and older people facing difficult circumstances. Funds raised through the Golf Classic will go towards services including disability family support, Autism Connect and Home 2 Hospital, among others, across the Southern Trust area.

Jacinta Linden, Chief Executive Officer of Bolster Community, said: "We're proud to launch our first ever Golf Classic and incredibly grateful to Cunningham for their support. We'd love other local businesses to get involved too by sponsoring a hole or donating prizes on the day."

Tim Cunningham, Chief Executive Officer at Cunningham, added: "Cunningham are proud to be the headline sponsor of the Bolster Community Golf Classic. The work Bolster Community delivers across our local area is truly inspiring, providing vital support to families, seniors and individuals of all abilities. Their can-do attitude and commitment to strengthening communities and respecting all aligns closely with our own values as a business. We are honoured to support their fundraising efforts and look forward to what promises to be a memorable and impactful day."

The event is open to golfers of all abilities, and the day will wrap up with a social evening including prize giving, a raffle and live entertainment. Businesses are also being encouraged to get involved through hole sponsorship or prize donations.
