Write a commentLocal photographer Tânia Marques Rebelo is working on a project for Culture Night in September this year.
Newry is again taking part in the International event, Culture Night, on the 19th of September with many events in the performance space in Marcus Square. This and other events will be hosted throughout the city, in bars, restaurants and other venues.
The project is entitled " Love after 50 Springs" and the idea is to do a portrait of couples aged over 50 years and associate their love story.
The images will be exhibited on the Arts Centre in Newry from Culture Night Friday the 19th of September to the 12 of October (incorporating Positive Ageing week events).
Tânia is looking for couples that would like to take part in this project.
The photos will be taken at her studio in Newry and a small interview will also be done to enable her to describe how the couple met, how long they have been together and so on and the entire session should take about an hour and each couple will get a free photograph.
Couples don´t need to be from Newry and can be toghether for a long time or recently.
The photographs will be taken over August.
Saturdays: 23rd and 30th of August. 10am, 11:30am , 1pm.
Sundays: 24th and 31st of August 10am, 11:30am , 1pm.
