Local gig promoter Yew Tree Promotions have two upcoming gigs in Newry in May and are planning other nights over the summer. Based in Newry the independent promotion company aims to create a more vibrant music scene in the city to both give local bands opportunities and to bring more independent talent from across the country.
The first of the gigs on the 4th May will see an entirely local lineup take to the stage at the INF in Newry. This will be headlined by The JFK's, with support from Grief Seed and Overgrown. Tickets are £5 + booking fees and available via Eventbrite.
On the 25th May, they have Dublin's 'Girlfriend.' headlining the INF with support from local artists Lauren Ann and Monday's Child as part of an Irish tour they are embarking upon.
Girlfriend. have quite a large following in the south as well as in the UK.
