Newry and Mourne Museum is hosting a range of summer workshops of arts and crafts activities for children at the end of July. From Monday 31 July – Friday 4 August there will be a five-day programme of interlinked activities inspired by the museums new temporary art exhibition ‘Newry Artists Past and Present’, which celebrates works by artists either from Newry or others who have found inspiration in the local area.
Children will be able to express themselves through clay, paint and collage work and even make their own shields and crests.
The workshops are designed for children aged 5 – 11 and will take place from 11am – 1pm. Children must be dressed for mess, and workshops will take a short break at 12 noon if the children want to take a small snack. If you intend to leave your child, please fill the attached registration leaflet, and return it to the Museum.
The cost for the five days will be £10 per child.
