PIPS Hope and Support will be acknowledging its 20th anniversary in style with a spectacular Gala Ball at the Canal Court Hotel in Newry. This suicide prevention charity was established in Newry in 2003 by families who had been devastated by the loss of loved ones to suicide. Over the past two decades, it has steadily grown and now offers a range of essential community services, including crisis counseling, bereavement support, suicide awareness training, and education workshops.

To mark this significant milestone, a Gala Ball will be held on Friday, September 15 at the Canal Court Hotel in Newry and the charity are looking for supporters and groups to join them for the evening.

The evening will feature live music, an auction, and a raffle. In anticipation of the event, CEO Seamus McCabe expressed immense pride in the charity's 20 years of service to the community. He stated, "Reaching 20 years is a remarkable achievement. It has taken a tremendous amount of work, time, and effort to get to where we are today. This has truly been a team effort. While much has been accomplished, there is still much more to be done."

Seamus continued, "We are incredibly proud to acknowledge this achievement at the Gala Ball. We would love to see friends and supporters of PIPS Hope and Support, who have been invaluable to the charity over the last 20 years, join us in this celebration."

Tickets for the Gala Ball are still available and are priced at £60.00 per person or £600.00 for a table of ten. Guests will be welcomed with a drink’s reception in the hotel foyer, accompanied by the beautiful music of Harpist Blaithin McCoville. The evening will also include a raffle and auction, offering attendees the chance to win fantastic prizes. The event will be hosted by the entertaining May McFettridge, with live music provided by the talented Just Adam Band.
