Take to the Stage with Newry Musical Society

If you think you have what it takes to be on stage now is your big chance.

Newry Musical Society is eagerly seeking new members of all ages for their May 2014 production of “Hello, Dolly!” - the musical made famous by Barbara Streisand and, most recently, Disney’s “Wall-E”.

This glamorous show, featuring such songs as “Put on Your Sunday Clothes” and “Ribbons Down My Back”, is an exciting challenge for Newry Musical Society who have enjoyed successes with their sell out production of The Sound of Music in 2012 and Guys and Dolls 2013. 

Newry Musical Society already has a solid membership of men and women of all ages and has enjoyed an influx of younger members in recent years. “Hello, Dolly!” will demand a large cast and is a lively show with many opportunities for principal parts, smaller roles and energetic dance numbers! 

Rehearsals for “Hello, Dolly!” commence on Monday 3rd February and Wednesday 5th February 2014 at 7.30pm in the Bellagio Suite, Bellinis, Newry. Rehearsals will continue on Monday and Wednesday evenings until the performances from 20th to 23rd May 2014 in Newry Town Hall. You must be 16 by 1st January 2014 to be a member of the society. Although you do not have to audition to be in the chorus, all members are encouraged to audition to give the production team a real challenge!

Audition dates will be announced at the first rehearsal.
