Pictured are St Coleman's pupils with Nadine Coyle

The St. Colman’s College St Vincent de Paul Conference left for Canal Court on Thursday 3rd December ‘09 to assist Michael Murphy and the local Newry Conference in loading toys (generously donated by local business at the Annual Charity Dinner) onto the SVP lorry in time for Santa to pick them up from Mill Street and deliver for Christmas!

As the lads rolled up their sleeves and got ready for work they were joined by none other than Derry native and international Popstar Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud fame, who commended the lads on their great work!

No coaxing was needed to get the lads to smile for the snap. When the lads’ work was finally done a couple of hours later some of the boys had to be told to STOP giggling!!

The SVP Group in the College is busy at the minute organising the Christmas Appeal and the members would like to thank the outstanding efforts of all staff and pupils in the College who have made a concerted effort to contribute at a time when many are struggling to put food on the table.

All are reminded that there is still time to contribute to the collection of non-perishables and gifts!!
