13 and 15 Year Old Charged with Burglary

A Thirteen Year old child and a Fifteen Year old youth have been charged with burglary offences.

It follows the arrest of two males following reports of burglary and attempted burglary in Church Avenue on Saturday, 14 September. They were apprehended close by.

A 15 year old male was charged with attempted burglary and going equipped for burglary in relation to the incidents at Church Avenue and appeared before Newry Magistrates' Court on Monday, 16 September.

A 13 year old male was charged with burglary in relation to an incident at Ardaveen Drive on Friday, 13 September and attempted burglary in Church Avenue on Saturday, 14 September. He will appear before Newry Youth Court on Wednesday, 9 October.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
