Police in Newry are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a property in the Savages Terrace area on Wednesday 9th October. Entry was gained to the property sometime between 8pm on Tuesday 8th and 7am on Wednesday 9th October and a number of laptop computers taken.
Police are also appealing for information on an incident which occurred in the Church Street area of Newry on the evening of Wednesday 9th October. It was reported that at around 8.40pm entry was forced to the rear of the home of an elderly couple as they sat in the front living room. It is believed that the couple disturbed the culprits who then made off from the house on foot. Nothing is believed to have been taken from the property. A number of men were seen getting into a car which was parked in Cowan Street nearby. Police would be keen to speak to these men and also a man that had been in the area selling potatoes door to door.
Police in Newry are appealing for information following the report of the theft of a tractor from a property in the Turmore Road area of Newry on Thursday 10th October. It is believed the red International 684 tractor which had white wheels and a cream coloured roof was taken sometime between Tuesday 8th & Thursday 10th October. The tractor was reported to have had a bale lifter fitted on the rear when it was taken.
