Underage Presentation

Craobh Rua Underage Presentation night took place on Saturday past in St Pauls School Bessbrook. The event was once again a celebration of the achievements, commitment and gifts of all our young hurlers.Míle buíochas to all our young hurlers, their parents and guardians and their coaches for the great year that our Club has enjoyed because of them.Craobh Rua would like to thank all who helped ensure that we had a successful presentation night.

Camloch Village Collection

Our ‘Bucket’ collection in Camloch village will be held on Saturday  8th February starting at 9am. Coiste member Donna Tavey is rota coordinator and we would ask that any player, club member or supporter who wishes to give an hour for this important fundraising event, contact her as soon as possible.

‘Introduction To Hurling Coaching’

Coming up this Tuesday 21st January is another great opportunity for anyone interested in taking part in an ‘Introduction to Hurling Coaching’ session in Armagh Leisure Centre at 8pm.
Those who participated in previous sessions had a very enjoyable and informative experience. Anyone wishing to get further information about this event should contact Fiachra Bradley.

‘Healthy Club Project’

Following our clubs successful selection to be involved in Phase 4 of The Healthy Club Project, two representatives from the Club will be attending the National Orientation day in Croke Park on Saturday 1st February.
Craobh Rua are committed to continuing to ensure the issues of Health & Emotional Well Being are promoted throughout our Club. Eamon McCann addressed the recent Underage Presentations and talked of initiatives he and Craobh Rua wished to pursue in the months ahead.


Armagh GAA Club Draw

The Armagh GAA Club draw is raking place again 2020 and tickets are now on sale.Anyone wishing to purchase a ticket should contact a committee member or send a message through our Craobh Rua Facebook Page or Twitter AccountThe draw takes place over 4 months - March, April, May and June - with 16 prizes on offer each month. The first prize each month is £10k, right down to a 16th prize of £200.Tickets are priced at £100 each with £80 from every ticket going directly to our club after we reach our minimum target of sales.The tickets can be bought by paying the £100 up front or 4 monthly instalments of £25 per month.Tickets can be purchased from any of our committee members.We encourage all our club members, families and friends to purchase a ticket either individually or maybe as a group of 4 friends or family members clubbing together at £25 each.This is a brilliant opportunity to raise much needed funds for Craobh Rua club whilst also being in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.

Ulster GAA Training


St Paul’s High School, Bessbrook – Thursday 23rd January
Ulster GAA Council will be hosting a ‘Creating A Safer Club‘ Workshop night and any member or Club Officer interested one attending should contact Craobh Rua Club secretary Pat McGinn.

The ‘creating a safer club’ training is open to specific role holders and all appropriate members.Venue – St Paul’s High School, Bessbrook – Thursday 23rd January 6:30pm -9pm·
