The marathon events which take place on Sunday 29 May will start and finish outside the home of the official sponsor Newry Credit Union on Hill Street.
If you are thinking about registering for the 2016 Newry City Marathon events i.e. Marathon, Half Marathon, Wheelchair, 10 Mile Walk, 10K Run please do so now by registering online at www.newrycitymarathon.com .
Fun Run entries can be sent to: Newry Credit Union,70 – 72 Hill Street, Newry, BT34 1BF (Upon receipt, each entrant will receive a race number).
Chairman of Newry Credit Union Sean Hogan added: This year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever. We want the entire community to come along and line the streets to show your support to all the athletes as they cross the finish line. This year the organising committee wanted to add a family fun feel and will be providing free on street entertainment for spectators to enjoy which will take place in Margaret Square on Hill Street. There is also a wide range of eating establishments to choose from so why not make it a fun day out for the entire family.
