Here are a mix of 80's photos from the Convent of Mercy on Home Avenue ( I think) It must have been a reopening after renovations or such like?
There are also Abbey Christian Brothers presentation pics and groups of young people on the Warrenpoint Road for some reason. Also a group outside the Abbey National in Hill Street as well as a photograph maybe launching the Feis or Arts Festival.

Here's another batch from the "should have exposed the film properly" collection but hey I was only a garcon and sure what did I know.
These include a Christmas function with the Knights of Saint Columbanus, a ladies golfing night, a Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann presentation night, a couple of photos from Newry Swimming Pool and the front of a Christmas Shop. These were all in the early 80's.
A few familiar faces but not too many!

This collection includes photos from the demolition of a bit of Dominic Street in the mid 1980's.
Also the Newry Sports Awards, a young Rugby team taken by the looks of it at Carnbane, photographs in the Newry and Mourne Weekly Office at 71 Hill St, a pic taken in the Abbey Christian Brothers and a shot from the Ambassador on Hill St.

These Photographs are from 1983 mostly. They include Housing Regeneration of Bessbrook, Sean McShane's Funeral, Newry Arts Awards and I think a Newry Show event.
I never cease to be amazed at what my films throw up at me and there is even one this time of my late mother Alice with friends.

This batch takes in a youth boxing night probably the Sports Centre or the Bosco Club perhaps.
There is a Concern night on the go as well but don't know if it's the same function. Lastly there are five photos at the end that look as if they were taken somewhere else completely!
