Here is a batch of photographs taken in 1983. They include photos from St Mary's School of their exam presentation night, a younger Big O at County Carpets Christmas Draw, Santa traveling around town on the top of a Fire Engine and a night out, destination unsure but it may have been a fund raising night for Spina Bifida.

This is a mix of photographs from a Crafts/ Arts type fair I think in Newry Arts Centre.
Also a couple of Newry Town action photographs, a pic of the West End Bar, now McGuigans in Monaghan Street and a function with some Saint Paul's School people.

This batch confuses me. Especially the Top of the Town photo because it looks so familiar but where?
The other shots are a sports presentation - Bessbrook maybe and a sports day down by the Swimming Pool as well as a fancy dress at the same place or somewhere different?
More questions than answers. Help someone!

This batch is from about 1983 or so and it is mostly of a concert at Newry Showgrounds where the main band seems to be Big O and Co!
There certainly was a large crowd there. Not sure if the brollies were there to keep off the rain or the sun.
Tomorrows Jedward concert will not hold a candle to it!
The other photos are from a golf game but I'm unsure whether its Newry or not.

Details are a bit sketchy on this batch now. The Fancy Dress pics include such characters as a Bumble Bee called Sting and even the North Wind had a look in. They have me a bit flummoxed though as to the location, Sheepbridge maybe?
The presentations, even though they have quite a few familiar faces, I still can't work out what or where they were.

A good selection of social pics from bars around the town most of which I don't recognise but I can guess where some of the photos are taken.
Also a presentation to Fr Kearney by a group from Saval as well as fire damage photographs from a tyre depot.

Plenty of photographs from this film, from around 1983.
Santa makes quite a few appearances at different unknown locations. Also an ArmaghDown Bar football kit presentation and several social pics, maybe some of them taken in the ArmaghDown but not sure.
A few shops with bomb/fire/ vandal damage and lastly what looks like an Armagh County GAA convention in Poyntzpass Hall.

Here is a batch from Poyntzpass from a Sports Day in the old football field complete with a Fancy Dress event and a band parade.
Punk Rock was the big thing along with Grease and good old Joe Kernan with his All Star even got a mention!
I know most of the people but I'll not embarrass them by naming them!!! Also one Newry Town pic on the film as well.
