Write a commentYear 10 pupils from Newtownhamilton High School have visited to Parliament Buildings, Stormont to gain an overview of the workings of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
The pupils participated in the Northern Ireland Assembly’s education program which included a tour of Parliament Buildings.
They were also provided with an insight into the role played by Assembly members and the functions assumed by Ministers of the Northern Ireland Executive.
Ulster Unionist Councillor David Taylor welcomed Newtownhamilton High School pupils to Parliament Buildings on behalf of Danny Kennedy MLA. He commented that he was very pleased the school children present had enjoyed their experience of visiting Stormont and had displayed such great interest in learning about the workings of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
