A four-stage walk linking Portadown to Carlingford is taking place in July and August. The North South Way Peace Camino will take in some of the most scenic stretches of the Newry Canal Towpath and Carlingford Lough shoreline. The North South Way Peace Camino covers 33 miles (53km) in total and passes through nature, heritage and culture along the way.
The community-led initiative invites people to walk together, reflect and build new connections. The route links local places and people through a shared walking experience along the canal towpath and lough shoreline.
The walk will take place 1 July, 8 July, 29 July and 5 August and a return bus is provided to take walkers back to the start point.
It is currently open for registration and everyone is welcome to take part.
