Yesterdays PIPS Newry and Mourne Annual 10k Run and 5K walk has been praised by Newry and Mourne Councillor Pat Mc Ginn.
The third annual PIPS 10k/5k took place on Sunday morning and many family and friends of loved ones lost through suicide participated in the event.
Commenting Cllr McGinn said "This is an event that means a lot to many including myself. In a very practical way we are saying to people that we haven't forgot their loss and also we are highlighting the sensitive issues of suicide and self harm. Well done to all involved in organsing the Run and the Walk"
He concluded "It is important to let the message be herard loud and clear, there is help for those facing crisis and personal turmoil. Thanks be to God for the good people of PIPS who help provide efficient, accessible, confidential crisi services for those individuals and families who seek them"
