PIPS Newry & Mourne are holding their 3nd Annual 10k run/5k walk on Sunday 8th September 2013 at Sculpt Fitness, Carnbane Business Park.
Registration for the event can be completed online at www.activeglobal.com/pips10k to enter the 10k Run (£12) and 5k Walk (£8). Alternatively, call into the PIPS office on Kilmorey st to register in person. Registering early is encouraged, as previous participants can attest to the long queues on the day of this popular event.
In a change from previous years, PIPS Newry & Mourne will hold a balloon release ceremony prior to the commencement of the 5k walk this year. Though World Suicide Awareness Day in recognised globally on September 10th, the local charity believes it will be an appropriate time for those participating in the 10k or 5k to remember their loved one, friend or colleague who has died by suicide.
In addition to the entry fee, if individuals or groups wish to raise further funds for PIPS Newry & Mourne, sponsorship cards for the event are available at the PIPS office in Newry.
PIPS Newry and Mourne would like to acknowledge sincere gratitude to their sponsors and supporters Grounded Cafes, Courtneys Cafe, Shelbourne Bakery, Delilites , who will provide FREE refreshments after the event at SCULPT. Also thanks to ASPRAY Ltd for winners trophies, Alan Bingham Trophies and of course our good friends at SCULPT Fitness for their staff, time and premises on a Sunday. The walk leaves SCULPT at 11am Sharp and the run starts at 11.30 am sharp on the day. Entrants are welcome to stay for refreshments and presentations after the event.
