
Part of the Rostrevor Road and Sea Wall out of Warrenpoint has collapsed in this morning's storm and as a result Police in South Down are warning motorists that the Rostrevor Road, towards Kilkeel is impassable. It's close to the Drumesk Road junction.
Diversions via Mayobridge are in place however these are not suitable for HGVs.
HGVs should follow diversions via Rathfriland.
Earlier this month high tides and strong winds battered coastal areas - with another section of coastal road collapsing in Co Down.
A large hole has opened up in the road, exposing the underlying pipes and 11,000 volt cables.

Police are reminding motorists to drive with due caution.
