The International Guinness Blues on the Bay Festival returns to Warrenpoint this month, running from 20 to 26 May 2026 as the event marks its 27th anniversary. The festival, which is recognised as one of Ireland's premier live music events, attracts music lovers from all over Ireland and further afield.
Taking place across seven days over the May Bank Holiday, the festival features more than 70 free performances spanning blues, jazz, soul, roots and rock, with pubs, hotels, restaurants and venues throughout the town hosting performances and festival activity throughout the week. Late-night jam sessions, acoustic sets, workshops and family-friendly entertainment are also part of the programme.
Festival highlights include a three-day Artisan Food and Craft Market, open blues jam sessions, outdoor performances in Warrenpoint Municipal Park and a special BBC Radio Ulster Ralph McLean Show.
