A man was rescued by PSNI officers from the sea at Warrenpoint on Sunday morning.
At 7.34am police received a report of a male entering the water. Officers attended immediately and found a 21 year old male waist deep in water close to the outdoor swimming pool.
Three officers entered the water and brought the male to safety. The man was subsequently taken to hospital.

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage in The Square.
Sometime between 7.55pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, 7 March, the number plates of a grey Nissan X Trail were stolen and the front passenger window smashed. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the theft and damage being caused or anyone who has information in relation to this to contact them in Warrenpoint on 0845 600 8000.

Police in South Armagh are appealing for information following incidents of grafitti on Keadybeg Road. Some time between 3pm and 5pm on Sunday, 17 March, grafitti was sprayed in red paint on the entrance pillar to a house on Keadybeg Road.
In another incident, grafitti was sprayed on a house on Keadybeg Road over the weekend of 15 to 18 March and also on a bus shelter on Kingsmills Road.
The grafitti was of a sectarian nature. Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to these incidents to contact police in Newtownhamilton on 0845 600 8000. Police in Newry are appealing for information following a burglary on Ballard Road, outside Lislea. Some time between 9.30am on Sunday, 10 March and 9.40am on Monday, 11 March, entry was gained to an outbuilding.
An attempt was made to steal a tractor however thieves were unable to take the vehicle. Thieves stole two rear wheels and the front right wheel of the tractor along with other items. It is believed that a vehicle would have been needed to remove the wheels from the scene and police are appealing to anyone who noticed vehicles or people in the area during this time to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.

Detectives in Newry and Mourne, supported by local officers in South Armagh, have recovered a number of vehicles and suspected firearms following a planned search of premises on Mountain Road, Cloughoge.
Officers have recovered two vehicles, believed to be stolen, and two suspected firearms. Two quads have also been seized. Enquiries are ongoing. Newry and Mourne Area Commander, Chief Inspector Davy Beck, said: "The hard work and commitment of local officers has resulted in dangerous weapons being taken out of circulation, making Newry and Mourne a safer place to be. "This search and the seizure of vehicles should send a clear message that there is no hiding place for criminals in Newry and Mourne.
"I would like to thank the local community for their support and patience during this operation. This again demonstrates how much more successful we are in tackling crime when we work together."

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a hit and run road traffic collision on Rathfriland Road.
Some time between 1.30pm and 5.10pm on Thursday, 21 March, a black Ford Fiesta, parked opposite Ashtree Cottages sustained damage. It is believed this damage was caused by another car, possibly a red vehicle.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the damage being caused or has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.

Two PSNI officers have been injured following an incident in the Ardmaine Gardens area when a Police vehicle was rammed by a car.
Police in Newry have charged a 23 year old man with driving whilst disqualified, dangerous driving, no insurance, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drug with intent to supply. He is due to appear at Newry MC this morning ( Friday 5th April ). As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS. It is believed the incidents are connected.

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for witnesses to an assault that occurred on a private hire bus travelling from Carlingford to Kilkeel, on the evening of Sunday 31st March, to contact them.
The assault is believed to have taken place on board the bus as it passed through the Shore Road area of Rostrevor when a woman was hit on the head with a glass bottle and sustained head injuries that required hospital treatment. A window at the front of the bus was broken following the assault. A 23 year old woman was arrested in connection with this incident and was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Officers have spoken with a number of passengers in order to obtain witness statements and would ask anyone who was travelling on the bus but who has not yet been spoken to by police to contact them in Warrenpoint on 0845 600 8000.
