Corrinshego v St Enda's
3 - 11 V 6 – 13
Corrinshego u14s lost their first league game of the season and no doubt due to the amalgamation of the north and south leagues. This venture from the minor board has not only given the boys the opportunity to meet new sides but has also given them a taste of a higher standard of football. The St Enda's team were a slick outfit at times and like our own boys were well capable of taking scores. It was only through the trusty boot of Adam Loughran and Ryan Gray that the boys stated in touch in the first half. The score being 2-8 to 0-7 at half time.
The second half saw the Corrinshego boys put up a better fight as once again vice captain Adam Loughran found the back of the net with a quick brace. On the plus side it was good to have Liam McKeown back in the side after his recent hernia operation and he helped himself to two well taken points. Even young Niall Hogan got himself on the scoreboard with a poachers goal but it wasn't enough to stop St Enda's rattling the back of the net quite a few times themselves as they ran out deserved winners
U14 training continues each Thursday at 6pm at the Club Grounds. New members welcome. Contact Adrian McCourt 07745669419.

Thomas Davis Corrinshego 1-4 Killeavy 1-9
A week may be a long time in politics, but it can equally be a long time for those associated with GAA club. Last Friday Corrinshego played some great football in a titanic contest with Killean in scorching weather. Roll on seven days and the rain lashed and lashed down on a wet field as Corrinshego struggled against a very strong Killeavy team. It was a night when nothing went right for the Thomas Davis side when after only 30seconds Killeavy had the ball in the back of the net after a high ball was sent into the Corrinshego goalmouth. This was quickly followed up by a point and Corrinshego were 1-1 down.
Thomas Davis kept battling, but the men in green and black added another point. When the Newry side ran at their opponents they caused problems and this was seen on 16mins when a movement involving C. Trainor, R. Mc Williams, D. Murphy and R.O’Reilly resulted in a penalty which Ryan O’Reilly goaled from. Three minutes later P. Finnegan point a free to reduce the deficit to appoint.
A further pointed fee from Ryan O’Reilly levelled the score at 1-2 to 1-2, only for Killeavy to score again to leave the minimum between the sides at half –time.
On the 36min R.O’Reilly equalised with a pointed free only for Killeavy to score 0-2, On the 43rd minute P. Finnegan scored a free to leave the minimum again between the sides. This was to be our last score in the game as the St. Moninna men went on to record a 1-9 to 1-4 win. It was one of those evenings were evgerything went wrong for Corrinshego, but Killeavy were the better team. Next Friday we are away to O’Hanlon’s and an opportunity to get our promotion back on track.
Scores:- R.O’Reilly 1-2 , P.Finnegan 0-2
