The first half ended with both teams heading in to their half time team talk’s at with the hosts 1 goal to the good. Newry where extremely comfortable in the first half without inst ever really threatening.

Inst then scored a minute later through a mistake from the Newry defence. Newry then took command of the game through a goal from close range by the ever reliable David Andrews who passed the ball past the helpless Inst keeper. The result mean the newry now sit 8 points ahead of Inst in the league giving them some breathing space in the religation battle however it is hoped that with a squad of 16 players every week that Newry could have a very good season in Junior 1 a league since being promoted to 3 years ago have only manged 8th position as their best and with a McClemets Cup competition also coming up it could be a very interesting season.
