The Mourne Route of 174km ( 107miles) started in Belfast Titanic Quarter and headed out to Ballygowan, Saintfield, Rathfriland & Hilltown and over Reed Hall into Rostrevor back up Spelga and finishing again in Belfast.
There were 89 ladies doing the Mourne Route so that is a great achievement for Mum of 5 who lives in Rathfriland. There was great local support along the way especially in Rathfriland and Rostrevor.
In the male category two Newry Wheelers finished in the Top 10 - Barry Tinnelly & Gary Sheils in a fantastic time of 5 hours 18mins. Kevy Lynch was not far behind in 5.39 and Des Woods, 5.40 and Barry Monaghan 5.43 & Drew McKinley 5.59 ( saving his legs for the Irish National Championships in Omagh next weekend.
