Wheeler's Sands takes Second Place at Moneymore

A group of four Newry Wheelers lined up for the A3 Race at the Ciclicport GP in Moneymore, Jude Sands, Declan Reid, Gary Henning & Connor Curran. The route was 5 laps of 9.4 mile on a very ‘lumpy’ course

Jude had an impressive ride and was in the early break with Ryan Reilly (Foyle CC), Evan Donaghue (Four Masters) and Darnell Moore (Caldwell Cycles).  Judes efforts were assisted by his team mates in particular Declan Reid who worked extremely hard to control the group once Jude has made the gap across to 3 riders ending up with a 2 minute lead.

Jude has now progressed to A2 Category Rider!
