Commenting on the 'news Cllr Fitzpatrick said “I’m delighted that we’ve secured funding for improvement works at the Edentrumley Ballydoo junction.
“This is a campaign that I’ve been pushing with DfI Roads and successive Ministers since coming into the council. This resource will make a huge difference to the local area and the local communities as there have been countless accidents along that road section for many years."
Since 2016 there has been remedial works carried out at the scene. Cllr Fitzpatrick is also involved in a footpath campaign in Mayobridge.
