Commenting on the death of Oswald “Ossie” Bradley who tragically drowned last night at Bessbrook Pond, Chairperson of Camlough Community Association Declan Murphy on the behalf of all involved with the group have expressed their deepest sympathies to the family.

“On behalf of Camlough Community Association I would convey our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ossie. He was a well known figure in Camlough as well as Bessbrook. He in particular was very helpful to all of us involved in the running of the annual Bessbrook Duathlon.
"Oswald like all of us had his own political views and culture, but this did not deter his input into helping to bridge gaps between our two communities.
Declan concluded "Peace building can be fraught with complexities and is hard work. Bessbrook Pond is a shared space in a mixed village, and it is unfortunate that the current divisive issue of flags has cost a human being his life and his family heartache. It is in all our communities interests to work together to address the hurt of our past, and build a better future."
Also offering condolences was Mickey Brady MLA who offered his deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased.
