Following damage to a number of cars in The Beeches, Temple Hill Road, Police in Newry have arrested two males. The PSNI had received a report of a male attempting to gain entry to a vehicle and attended the area.
Two males, aged 18 and 19 years old, were arrested.
Three vehicles were damaged. The males were later released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police in Newry also arrested a 52 year old man on suspicion of handling stolen goods and possession of Class B drugs.
On the 21st of December Officers were on patrol in the Maginnis Street area when they observed a male acting suspiciously. The male was searched and police recovered a bank card in another individual's name and a quantity of suspected cannabis resin.
The man was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an incident in the Merchant's Quay area on Friday 27th December.
At around 8.25pm a dark coloured saloon car was observed skidding through the junction of Merchant's Quay and Sugar Island. The car mounted the pavement and struck the front of a nearby building before speeding off in the direction of Trevor Hill.
Police would ask anyone who witnessed this incident and who may be able to assist them with their enquiries to contact them in Ardmore on 0845 600 8000.

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a burglary in The Glen area.
Some time between 6pm on Tuesday, 31 December and 6pm on Wednesday, 1 January entry was gained to a house and a HP laptop and 55 inch Samsung 8500 3D Smart TV taken. The television is very distinctive in appearance with a unique, curved, silver stand.
Police are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity, either people or vehicles, during this time to contact them. Police in Newry are investigating the theft of a car from the Dominic Street area on Saturday 4th January.
The black Mercedes C-Class car is believed to have stolen sometime between midday and 5.15pm.
At around 5.25pm police received a report of a car on fire at Ballintemple View Point on the Aghmakane Road near Camlough.
The car was completely destroyed but is believed to be the stolen Mercedes.
Police would ask anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in either the Dominic Street area of Newry or in the Aghmakane Road area in Camlough to contact them in Ardmore, Newry on 0845 600 8000.

A woman has died at the scene of a fire in George's Lane off Mill Street in Newry Last night.
The house fire was reported to police just after 11.05pm.
It is thought the woman's body was found in the house.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious.

Following an assault in take away premises on Monaghan Street during the early hours of the 5th of January the PSNI have launched an appeal for information.
Around 2.30am on the early Sunday morning, two females, aged 18 and 22 years old, were assaulted by another female.
A 24 year old male attempted to intervene and was assaulted by another male
. The two females sustained facial and head injuries and one had her purse stolen.
The two assailants made off on foot up Monaghan Street towards the roundabout.
The female assailant is described as being approximately 5ft 5in tall, of slim build with wavy, brown hair. She was wearing a black skirt, red top and heels.
The male assailant is described as being approximately 5ft 9in tall, of medium build with ginger hair. He was wearing a blue, green and red checked shirt and jeans.

Constable Gray, Newry and Mourne Response, said: "We want everyone to enjoy themselves when they are out and it is important that each individual remembers to drink responsibly and show respect for others. Often your reaction to situations can be different when you are under the influence of alcohol and it is easy to get caught up in actions which would be totally alien to you when sober.
"When you are on a night out, please be mindful of your alcohol intake and make sure you keep safe. If you find yourself in a situation which is out of your control, remove yourself safely and contact police at the earliest opportunity. We would much rather respond to a request for help than see someone injured or worse."

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in the Barcroft area on Thursday, 2 January.
Around midnight a 20 year old male was assaulted by six people on steps between Barcroft Park and Dominic Street. The male was struck on the head with a bottle and sustained injuries to his head and neck which required medical treatment.

Motorists have been thanked for their patience and support after members of the PSNI revisited the scene of a fatal road traffic collision which claimed the life of 58 year old Neil McCooey.
Police conducted a checkpoint on the Newtown Road as part of their investigation into the collision which occurred on the road around 5.30pm on Friday, 10 January when Mr McCooey died following the collision.
Inspector Stephen Humphries said: "Despite traffic delays, motorists were patient and offered what information they could.
"We are reissuing our appeal for information and would ask anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Newtown Road around the time of the collision to contact us at Newtownhamilton Police Station by calling 0845 600 8000."

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a two vehicle collision on Abbey Way.
The collision, involving a black BMW and silver Peugeot, occurred around 10.10am on Thursday, 16 January.
