Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following a two vehicle rtc on Kilkeel Road, Annalong.
The collision, involving a white Fiat van and tractor towing a trailer, occurred around 5.05pm yesterday. Emergency Services attended and the male van driver sustained injuries which required medical treatment. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

Police in Crossmaglen are appealing for information following an rtc on Concession Road, Cullaville.
Around 9am on Thursday, 6 December, a silver car was in collision with a Honda Jazz car close to the primary school. The driver of the silver car stopped and spoke to the driver of the Honda before driving off.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of the silver car who can contact them in Crossmaglen. Police would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision. The number to phone is 0845 600 8000.

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following an armed robbery on the evening of Friday 7 December.
At approximately 7pm two men, both dressed in navy hooded tops with scarfs over their mouths, walked into a financial premises in the Main Street area of Forkhill and demanded money. One of the men was armed with a suspected firearm, the other was armed with a hatchet. There were no injuries in this incident.
The men made off with a sum of cash. They are believed to have been in a blue Toyota Avensis.

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a service station on Dublin Road.
Around 9.40pm on Thursday, 6 December, three masked males entered the premises. One of the males had a firearm in his possession and the two others carried hatchets. The men demanded the tills be opened and made off with a sum of cash.
All three men were wearing gloves and dressed in dark clothing. It is believed they were travelling in a car. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a fire on Rathfriland Road on Sunday evening, 2 December.
Around 5pm a fire was discovered close to a barn. A pile of mattresses had been set alight.
A male was seen making off from the area, down a laneway in the direction of Rathfriland Road. He was wearing a blue jumper, jeans and a grey beanie hat.

Police in Hilltown are appealing for information following the theft of car from Main Street, Hilltown.
The grey BMW 1 Series, registration SBZ 7289, was taken between 9pm on Sunday, 9 December and 8am on Monday, 10 December.

Drumalane and Glen Hill residents are still living with an ongoing parking issue in their area with drivers not showing consideration for residents and parking on an all day basis on footpaths and close to junctions. As well as being inconvenient it can also be dangerous, forcing parents pushing prams or people in wheelchairs to take to the road.

As we approach the school holidays once again, police in Newry are appealing for the whole community to support the ‘School Watch’ initiative and help protect local schools over Christmas.
Paula Crowe, Crime Prevention Officer for Armagh and Newry and Mourne, explained: “Attacks on schools generally range from broken windows and graffiti but on some occasions have been more serious including arson attacks and burglaries.
“It is frustrating to see how these mindless acts affect a school and in turn affect the whole community. No one wants to see teachers and pupils return to a school which has been vandalised over the Christmas holidays and I would urge members of the public to assist police in reducing this type of crime.
“The impact of criminal damage can have a detrimental effect on schools. Funding which could be spent on much needed school resources to provide a better education for children such as books and computers, has to be spent on repairing the damage instead.
“Money is also being constantly diverted from school projects to meet the expense of securing premises with window grills, alarm systems, security cameras, fences and other crime reduction devices.
“We would ask anyone who lives near to a school to be extra vigilant and report anyone acting suspiciously to there nearest police station. We would also urge parents to be aware of what their children are up to and where they are when they are not at home.”
