A further two men have been charged following four burglaries in Longfield Heights, Newry, and Blaney Road and Newry Road in Crossmaglen on 13 October.
A 24 and 41 year old man have been charged with burglary and will appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on 11 November.
As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
A vehicle, an old-style blue Audi, has also been seized as part of the investigation.
Detective Inspector David Henderson said: “We are appealing for information in relation to these crimes. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a blue old-style Audi in the Newry or South Armagh areas over recent days. Detectives can be contacted by calling 101. Police in Newry are appealing for information following the theft of Perspex sheets.
Constable Stephen Cunningham said: “Sometime between Thursday, 1 October and Saturday, 3 October, perspex sheets were stolen from a GAA pitch on Dorans Hill.
“We would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around the pitch during this time or anyone who has information in relation to this incident. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 1076 051015.”

Following a sophisticated scam involving two different phone callers to a house in Mayobridge where a sum of money was lost Police are warning the public to be vigilant.
The warning follows the incident in Mayobridge when a local man was duped by a caller who claimed to be from his bank, investigating a fraud. The caller said that the victim’s bank account was under investigation and to safeguard his money he should remove all of it from the bank and use international money transfer to move the cash to a recipient in India. These claims were further enhanced by a second caller who claimed to be a police officer and encouraged the victim to move his money.
By the time the victim realised this was a scam, only part of his money was able to be recovered.
Constable Matthew Chapman said: “Fraudsters are practised in presenting a plausible façade and will be skilled in persuasion and manipulation so it is vital that we all remain vigilant.
“Never, ever share your personal or financial details over the phone. A genuine banking establishment will not ask you to share your financial details.
“If you are not sure of a call, particularly if it is someone claiming to be from your bank, end the call and visit your nearest branch or phone your bank back on a number you have used before.
“A genuine caller will have no problem with you taking steps and time to verify their identification.

A business in Newry and one in Tandragee have been targeted by fraudsters and following the incidents the PSNI are warning local businesses to be vigilant.
In both instances secretaries of the businesses were contacted by their managers by email with requests for money transfers to bank accounts. While the emails appeared to be sent from the manager’s email accounts they were not.
Crime Prevention Officer Michelle Wilson said: "Organised criminals and individual fraudsters are continually developing ever more sophisticated tactics to target businesses. Attacks like these are called ‘phishing’. It is vital that businesses make their employees aware of online security threats so they can spot attempted fraud and take steps to avoid this. “If you have been approached or have fallen victim to this type of scam please report the matter to your local police station on 101.”

Following two shooting incidents in Newry in September Detectives in Newry have charged a 20 year old man with two counts of attempted murder, kidnap, possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and a number of drugs offences.
The incidents on the 17th of September at Sandy Street and the Armagh Road in Newry resulted in two men in their thirties suffering gun shot wounds to their leg.

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a creeper burglary at Turmore Road on the outskirts of Newry.
Constable Stephen Cunningham said: “Around 2.47am on Saturday, 17 October, the alarm in a house at Turmore Road was set off and the occupants became aware that their vehicle, a grey BMW X5, had been stolen. The vehicle was taken after entry was forced to the house and car keys stolen.
“We believe there may have been a vehicle driving up and down the road prior to the burglary and we are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious vehicles or other activity to contact us in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 152 171015.”

Police in Kilkeel are appealing for information following two arson attacks at Carn Gardens.
Around 9.45pm on Saturday, 31 October, a bin was placed at the front door of a gable end property and set alight. NIFRS attended and extinguished the blaze. Later on the same night, around 12.05am on Sunday, 1 November, a second bin was placed at the front door and set alight. The front door was completely destroyed in this blaze with extensive damage to the front hall and smoke damage throughout the house.
A male person was seen in the area at the time of these incidents and is described as being approximately 6ft tall, of slim build and was wearing a grey hoody and grey bottoms.
Sergeant Tony McConville said: “The occupants of this house have been the victims of a number of incidents of criminal damage and we are extremely fortunate that no one was hurt during these recent arson attacks. This house is at the end of a terraced row and if the fire had spread there is a strong chance that people would have been injured or worse. That does not diminish the damage that has been caused. A home has been ruined through the targeted criminal act of another person.
“I am asking the local community to help us find those responsible and prevent any further criminal activity. If you have information which could assist us please contact us in Kilkeel on 101, quoting ref: 1554 311015.”

Police in Newtownhamilton are appealing for information following the theft of items from a car on Chapel Road, Meigh.
Sometime overnight between Sunday, 1 November and Monday, 2 November, a blue Volkswagen Tiguan was entered and driving licence and bank cards stolen.

Police in Newtownhamilton are appealing for information following the theft of a vehicle from Ferryhill Road.
Around 5.30am on Monday, 2 November, entry was forced to a house and vehicle keys, a wallet and cash taken.
A blue Toyota Landcruiser was subsequently stolen from outside the property. The vehicle was found around 10.20am in Malachy Conlon Park, Cullaville.
