Four cars in Bracken Close sustained damage earlier this month and Police in Newry are appealing for information from the public.
Constable Niamh Mulholland explained: “On Friday, 3 July, four cars, parked in Bracken Close, were damaged. A black Citroen C4, a grey Volkswagen Polo and two black Ford Focus cars were scraped along both front and rear passenger side doors. The damage was caused between 8.30am and 5.40pm.
“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the damage being caused or has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 1006 030715.”

Police in Newry are asking the local community in Chequer Court for their support as they investigate a number of hate incidents.
Sergeant McConville said: “A house in Chequer Court was attacked a number of times last week. This follows previous attacks on this property during the preceding weeks. On Tuesday, 14 July, we received a report that 3 cctv cameras at the property were stolen and locks damaged with glue. A window of the house was reported broken on Wednesday, 15 July and paint was also thrown over the house and graffiti scrawled on a wall at the house.
“We are treating all these incidents as hate crimes and are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances of all these incidents.
“We are asking the local community to support our investigation and contact us with any relevant information. If you have information which you believe could assist please contact us in Newry on 101.”

Police are investigating the report of the attempted hijacking of a car in the Rathfriland Road area of Hilltown in the early hours of Saturday 25th July.
At around midnight a male motorist was flagged down by two male pedestrians in the Peggys Loaning area of Banbridge. They asked the driver to take them into Banbridge town centre which the driver agreed to do. Once inside the car, however, the two males became threatening and aggressive and demanded that the driver take them to Hilltown. The driver took them to Hilltown where an attempt was then made to take car from him at Rathfriland Road. Passers-by came to the driver’s assistance and the two men made off across nearby fields. The driver was not physically injured as a result of this incident but was left badly shaken.
Detective Inspector David Henderson has appealed to anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Newry on 101 quoting reference 31250715 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the theft of a digger earlier this month.
Constable Ferguson said: "Sometime between Friday, 10 July and Monday, 13 July, a yellow and green 3 tonne Yanmar mini digger was taken from a yard on Carrogs Lane, Newry. The digger has three distinctive scrapes with blue paint transfer on the back, right corner.
"We would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to the theft or whereabouts of the digger. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 887 130715."

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage and theft earlier this month.
Constable Caoimhe McCaughey said: “Sometime between 4.15pm and 7.15pm on Thursday, 9 July, the driver’s window of a silver Honda CRV, parked at Spelga reservoir car park was smashed with a stone. A wallet containing a sum of cash was stolen.

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in a nightclub on Trevor Hill last Thursday.
Constable Caroline Bell said: "Around 1am on Thursday, 23 July, an 18 year old male was walking from the bar to the dance floor when he was assaulted by another male. The injured party sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
"We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information which may assist our enquiries. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 96 230715."

Detectives in Newry are keen to trace the occupants of a silver hatchback with a loud exhaust following a house burglary in Silverbridge.
Detective Constable Mandy Campbell said: “Sometime between 3pm and 11.30pm on Monday, 27 July, entry was forced to a house in Slieve View. A number of rooms were searched and a quantity of jewellery, of great sentimental value, was taken.
“We would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around this are during these times. We are also keen to trace the occupants of a small, silver hatchback car with a loud exhaust, which was driving in the area during these times.

The PSNI have launched appeals for information following three separate incidents including a reported assault on a teenager, an assault in Basin Walk and graffiti painting in Mourneview Park.
Police are investigating an assault in the area of Kileavey Road, Newry and have made an appeal for information. Const. Ellie May said, “It was reported that a teenage boy had been assaulted by a number of other people sometime between 1am and 2am on August 9th. He sustained bruising to his face and a chipped tooth. Ref: 68710815
Speaking about the second incident. Const. Tim Coombs said, “At around 6pm on August 4th, a man was assaulted in the Basin Walk area. It is understood he was approached and assaulted by three other males. Police would be keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident or saw males matching this description in the area. Ref: 8764815
Police in Newry are also investigating a report of criminal damage in Mourneview Park and Canal Street.
Const. Tim Coombs said, “In three areas in the Mourneview Park area, graffiti was daubed in black paint. It is thought this happened sometime between midnight and 1am on Sunday, August 16th. Ref: 9516815

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses following the death of three local young men in a road traffic collision on the A1 Dual Carriageway between Banbridge and Dromore close to the Halfway Road junction yesterday evening, Sunday 23 August.
The three men, two aged 20 and one aged 19, were travelling in a red coloured Vauxhall Corsa that was involved in a collision with a black coloured Volkswagen Tiguan on the Northbound carriageway at around 5.40pm.
The female driver of the Volkswagen was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Inspector Stephen Humphries is appealing for anyone who was travelling on the A1 Dual Carriageway yesterday evening and who witnessed the collision to contact local Police at Banbridge or the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101.
Commenting on the tragedy Newry and Armagh MP Mickey Brady said “The loss of three more lives, and such young lives, on our roads is nothing short of a tragedy,” he said.
“While the pain will be felt most acutely by the family and friends of those killed, their deaths have cast a shadow over the entire area.
“Road conditions on Sunday were extremely poor but finding out what exactly happened is for another day. Right now our thoughts and prayers are with three families going through unimaginable grief.”
