An estimated £120,000 worth of herbal cannabis has been seized in Co Down as part of an investigation into the supply of illegal drugs.
The drugs were found in a car which was stopped on the A1 at Dromore yesterday.
A 61 year old man was arrested and is being questioned at Lurgan PSNI Station. A number of searches have also been carried out in the Newry, Warrenpoint and Lisburn areas.
Detective Inspector Alan Pyper said: “We are delighted to have taken these illegal drugs out of circulation. We will continue to work with communities to act on any information provided and remove this harm from our streets.”

Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary that occurred at a shop in the Millvale Road area of Newry in the early hours of this morning, Monday 15 February.
At approximately 4.25am, it is believed that a vehicle rammed the shutters of the shop and gained entry. A number of cigarettes were taken in the burglary.
This incident is being linked to an attempted burglary at a shop in the Silverbridge Road area of Silverbridge that occurred at approximately 3.30am. Shutters of the shop were rammed but no access was gained to the premises.

Police have warned the local community to be aware of securing their property following a number of burglaries in the Newry area over the weekend.
On the afternoon of Friday 12 February, a house was broken into in the Castlekeele Heights area . Nothing was taken.
A quantity of jewellery, a laptop and televisions were stolen from a house in the St Oliver Plunkett Park area of Camlough sometime between the evening of Friday 12 February and the afternoon of Saturday 13 February.
Just after 9.15pm on Saturday 13 February, police received a report of a burglary at a house in the Highfields Avenue area. Nothing was taken.
Sometime between 2.30pm and 10.50pm on Saturday 13 February, a house was broken into in the Ashton Heights area of Newry. Money and a black jacket were stolen. Then sometime between 7.30pm on Saturday 13 February and 2.50am on Sunday 14 February, police received a report of a burglary at a house in the Crieve Court area of Newry. A sum of money was taken.
The police are also appealing for information on a burglary earlier this month. Sometime between 3pm on Friday, 5 February and 10pm on Saturday, 6 February, entry was forced to a house in Latt Villas and a number of rooms ransacked.
Detective Sergeant Emme Wallace said: “I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in these areas to contact detectives at Ardmore Police Station on the non emergency number 101. “I would also remind the local community to be aware of security around their home. Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime have charged two men in relation to burglaries over a three month period last year.
The 24 year old and 42 year old men were arrested in Newry last Tuesday, 9 February. They were both charged in relation to burglaries which occurred between July and September 2015 in Newry, Jonesborough, Forkhill, Killeavy, Warrenpoint, Silverbridge and Keady. They were further charged in relation to an aggravated burglary in Keady on 30 January, 2016 and a burglary in Mullaghbawn on the same date.
The 42 year old man was also charged with theft in relation to an incident in Crossmaglen on 22 September, 2015.
Both will appear before Newry magistrates’ Court this morning, 10 February.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

Police are appealing for information following incidents of criminal damage that occurred in the Helens Terrace area of Newry in the early hours of last Thursday 11 February.
Around 2.50am, police received a report that a window had been smashed in four cars in the area.

Police are appealing for information following the theft of parts from a digger which was parked in a sports ground in the Dorsy Road area near Cullyhanna.
Sometime between 4.30pm on Saturday 13 February and 4.30pm on Sunday 14 February, a number of parts including orange ram linkages, an orange bucket ram, an orange lift ram, 2 orange side panels and all windows were stolen.
Constable Chris Wolfe said: “It would have taken some time to remove all of these items and the people involved would have needed some sort of large vehicle to be able to transport all them. I would ask anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area, or who knows anything about this theft, to contact Newtownhamilton Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 884 of 14/02/16. Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery of a shop in the Abbey Yard area of Newry last night, Saturday 20 February. It was reported that at approximately 8.30pm an unknown male, carrying a knife, entered a shop in the area and threatened a member of staff before making off with a sum of cash from the till.
He is described as being aged in his late 20’s and was wearing light grey track bottoms and a light grey hooded top.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them at Ardmore Police Station on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police are appealing for information after an outbuilding near Cullyhanna was broken into and a horse box stolen.
Sometime between 12 noon and 6.30pm on Thursday, 11 February, entry was forced to an outbuilding on Drummill Road, Cullyhanna. A red and white Ervine Williams horsebox, a lawnmower and an axe were taken.
Police would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity in this area during these times or anyone who has information that may assist their investigation. They can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 976 110216.

A man has died early this morning following a road traffic incident between Kilkeel and Rostrevor and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The single vehicle incident happened on the Killowen Road between Kilkeel and Rostrevor.
Police received a report of the collision shortly before 6.30am. Two other men have been taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Inspector Lynne Corbett is appealing for anyone who was travelling on the Killowen Road this morning and who witnessed the collision to contact Police in Newry or the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101.
