Police in Newry are appealing for information following a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Bridge Street area of Rostrevor in the early hours of Saturday 28th July.
Shortly before 2:40am, it was reported that a 17 year old male received stab wounds to his back following an assault outside the premises. He was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A 23 year old man was arrested in relation to the incident, but was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a report of the theft of a number of items at the Blaney Road area of Newtownhamilton last Friday 10 August.
Sometime between 9am and 8pm it was reported that a number of tools were stolen from the property. The items taken during the incident included:
A Dolmar petrol leaf blower, A Stihl petrol extendable hedge cutter, A green Metabo battery operated socket gun (serial number 602205840), A green Metabo battery angle grinder (serial number 602170840), A yellow DeWalt battery drill, A red Dolmar 18” chainsaw and A black RC ½ inch air ratchet.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of a vehicle theft at Fords Cross on the Dundalk to Newtownhamilton road.
Constable Young said: "We received a report at 2pm on Friday, 24 August that a black Mercedes parked along the road in the Fords Cross area, within the vicinity of Dundalk Road, had been stolen sometime between 9am and 12:30pm that day.
"I am appealing to anyone who was in the area between these times and noticed any suspicious activity to contact us. I am also appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have captured dash cam footage of a car matching the description of the vehicle stolen being driven away to get in touch on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 700 of 24/08/18.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”

Detectives are investigating a spate of burglaries in south Armagh at the weekend.
Detective Sergeant Bell said: “A total of six burglaries were reported in the space of just a few hours on Saturday night, 29 September. Four of the properties were on Father McFadden Terrace in Crossmaglen, while another in St Monina Park and a sixth on the Drumintee Road in Killeavy were also targeted.
In each case it appears as though the thieves entered the homes while they were unoccupied and stole jewellery and other valuables.
I am appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have captured dashcam footage in the area between 7pm and 10pm on Saturday night to please get in touch by calling 101.”

Responding to the news Newry and Armagh MLA Megan Featon has urged all to be extra vigilant.

Those who enter people’s homes to rob and destroy care nothing about the impact their actions have on the victims of their anti community crimes. I urge all to be extra vigilant.
Those who carry out these attack’s on our communities need to be apprehended and face the full rigours of the law”
Slieve Gullion area Councillor Terry Hearty echoing his colleagues comments said “The selfish individuals and gangs involved in these criminal acts need to be caught. I would ask that anyone spotting any type of strange behaviour to report it immediately. These thieves have shown that they are content to rob and plunder and cause fear within our families and communities”.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a mini digger from a property in the Low Road area of Meigh. It's thought that the yellow coloured digger was stolen sometime between 12.30pm on Saturday 06 October and 9.30am today Wednesday 10 October.

A man has been assaulted and his house ransacked during a burglary at Nursery Drive in Newry on Saturday morning, 27 October and police are asking anyone with any information to get in touch.
Detective Constable McKeever said: “At around 5:30am, it was reported that two unknown males entered a house in the area and assaulted a male occupant inside. The male, who was inside with his dog at the time of the incident received injuries to his head that are not believed to be serious. The property was also ransacked during the incident and the occupant was left badly shaken.
“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time of the incident to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 282 27/10/18. Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in the Millvale Park area of Bessbrook last night, Monday 29 October. A safe with a sum of cash was taken.
Detective Sergeant Upton said: "It was reported that entry was forced to the premises at around 7:50 pm by a number of masked individuals, a safe containing a sum of cash was taken.
"As a result of this incident an elderly man has been left badly shaken."

Detectives investigating a series of burglaries in the South Armagh area last week are appealing for information from the public.
Detective Inspector Trevor Stevenson said: “Three houses in Crossmaglen, two in Chapel View and one on Newry Road and one on the Camlough Road in Newry were targeted in a series of burglaries which we are treating as linked at this time. Three men were also disturbed at a house in St Patrick’s Park in Camlough at around 8pm last night by a member of the public. The men fled the house and made off from the area in a black coloured Audi A6 car.
“Follow up enquiries have revealed that a similar black coloured car had been observed in the vicinity of the other burglaries. In the Newry Road incident a male knocked at the front door of the house at around 7pm while a number of other males entered the rear of the property and attempted to steal a handbag. They were disturbed by the owner of the property and made off empty handed in a black coloured car. Cash and 2 TVs were reported stolen in the other burglaries.
“I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity at any of the locations mentioned or who has any information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Newry on 101 quoting reference number 1181 02/11/18. Newry Mourne & Down Councillor Charlie Casey has urged people living in the Michael Mallin Park area to be extra vigilant after reports of a break in to a home there where a number of personal items including money and jewellery were stolen. Comented on the incident the Councillor added “Once again criminals motivated by nothing but greed have caused great fear and distress by their selfish actions. They need to apprehended and to face the full rigours of the law”.
