Police are appealing for witnesses after criminal damage was caused in Hollyridge Lane in Newry on the night of Wednesday 17 May.
The PSNI received reports that between 10.40pm and 10.50pm three males smashed the windows of a Ford Fiesta car parked in the area. The window in a house was also smashed during the incident.
The three males were described as being tall and wearing dark clothing. Two of them were wearing balaclavas and all were reported to have been carrying hurley sticks. The males made off on foot in the direction of the Five ways Roundabout.
A 23 year old male was arrested a short time later on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon. He was interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone that may have seen 3 persons acting suspiciously around the Armagh Road/Tandragee Road/Five ways Roundabout or Carnbane Industrial Estate to contact officers in Newry on 101 quoting reference number 1327 of 17/05/17.
Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police are appealing for information after damage was caused to a memorial at Narrow Water in Warrenpoint with floral tributes damaged.
Police received a report of the damage around 8.30am this morning Thursday.
Sergeant Allister Patterson said: "We are treating this incident as a hate crime and I am appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity recently, or anyone who may have information that could assist in our enquiries, to contact police in Newry on 101 quoting reference 264 of 25/05/17.
Alternatively, information can be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Councillor David Taylor and South Down Westminster candidate, Harold McKee have expressed their disgust at the desecration.
Councillor Taylor said "I am disgusted that poppy wreaths placed at Narrow Water, Warrenpoint have been desecrated once again.
“These attacks never stop. It is just endless. The people that commit these crimes are full of hate. Given the events of this week when we have seen terrorists bring death and destruction to the people of Manchester, it is appalling that there are still people in Northern Ireland who have learnt nothing from our past and are so full of hatred that they want to destroy memorials to the victims of terrorism from Northern Ireland`s Troubles.”
Harold McKee added "This is a completely sickening attack and it only serves to compound the pain of the families of the service personnel who lost their lives at Narrow Water.
"All right thinking people should condemn this hate crime and I would appeal to anyone with information on this incident to report it to the PSNI immediately. The police need help to bring the criminals responsible before the courts."

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses following an assault on the A1 dual carriageway close to the junction of Rathfriland Road in Banbridge this morning, Friday 09 June with left a man with bruises to his head and body.
It appears that shortly before 10am a man was emerging onto the carriageway when a lorry with 3 men on board stopped beside him. The men got out of the lorry and proceeded to assault the man before making off in the direction of Newry. The man, aged in his 20’s, sustained bruising to his head and body as a result.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers in Lurgan on 101 quoting reference number 295 of 09/06/17. Following an assault in the Mourneview Park/Erskine Street area of Newry yesterday Wednesday, 21 June the police are appealing to anyone who might have any information on the incident to come forward.
Constable Leahy said “It was reported that sometime between 7:00 - 7:15 pm a man in his 20s was assaulted and received facial injuries as a result of this. A man in his 30s and 2 men in their 20s have since been arrested and are helping police with their enquiries."

The PSNI are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a house located in the Church Rock area of Camlough.
Detective Constable McCartan said: “It was reported that between the hours of 10:00pm and 10:30pm hours Saturday 24th June 2017, a male described as being in his 30’s, of a slim build, with dark hair and wearing a denim jacket gained entry to a house in the Church Rock area of Camlough via a bedroom window. The male suspect was then disturbed by the home owners and made off with several bank cards and a sum of money.
The home owners were not injured as a result of the break in but were left badly shaken.
We are appealing to anyone that may have any information, in particular we are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed a suspicious black hatchback car or the male suspect in the area at the time to contact detectives at Ardmore Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1404 of 24/06/17. Police detectives are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a house in the Victoria Square area of Rostrevor on Saturday 10 June where a quantity of distinctive jewellery was stolen. The house was entered sometime between 3.00pm and 4.30pm on the 10th.
Detective Constable Campbell would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious vehicles or persons in the area to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Ardmore on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 931 10/06/17.

A number of incidents of racial abuse are being investigated by the PSNI with them launching an appeal for information following the latest incident in the Camlough Road area of Bessbrook on the afternoon of Saturday 17 June.
Constable Roberts said: “ We received a report that at around 4.30pm on the Saturday afternoon, the driver of a blue coloured van shouted racial abuse to a man standing near the junction of Green Road and Camlough Road in Bessbrook.
"This is the latest in a number of similar incidents and our enquiries are ongoing."

Police in Newry are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision on the A1 carriageway last Tuesday 18th July to come forward.
Inspector Denise Graham said: “Shortly after 12.30pm on the afternoon of Tuesday 18th July, police received a report of a single vehicle collision on the A1 carriageway, just outside Newry, near the Sheepbridge complex. A blue Toyota Rav 4 car, which had been travelling northbound, crashed through the central reservation, ending in the southbound carriageway. The driver, a man aged 50, was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. The A1 was closed in both directions for a number of hours following the collision.”
“ I am appealing today for anyone with any information or who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or mobile phone footage from the scene to contact police at Ardmore on 101 quoting reference number 512 18/07/17.”
